Pakistan Muslim League (PML) N Central Secretary Finance and member national assembly (MNA) Muhammad Pervaiz Malik has said Pakistan's military and economic might was being wasted under a deep rooted conspiracy and the Balochistan situation was a sequel to the conspiracy. Addressing a weekly meeting of PML (N) Nazims, Councillors and workers on Monday, he said prior to Balochistan, Pakistan suffered heavy losses of men and materiel during operation in Wana and South Waziristan without any gain, which also resulted in widespread resentment among the people of Pakistan. Now the same game was being played in Balochistan, he added.

He said that unwanted military operations and the financial losses in those operations resulted in destabilising our financial and economic fibre. It was of that reason that the government had to increase prices of oil, gas and electricity to makeup the losses. This step also created unrest and disturbance among the people, as the hard hit people did not further afford to face the current price hike, he said.
